Understanding Your Dog. Supporting You. Transforming Life at Home.

When your dog’s behaviour becomes stressful — whether it’s barking, pulling on the lead, anxiety, reactivity, or growling — it can be hard to know where to start. If you’re specifically struggling with separation-related issues, you can click here for dedicated support.

You might feel frustrated, guilty, or even a bit lost. You love your dog, but something just isn’t working. You’re not alone in that.

I’ll work with you to understand what’s really going on, help your dog feel calmer and more secure, and guide you through clear, kind, science-based steps that make everyday life easier for both of you.

I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse and qualified behaviourist based in Oxford, and I support you in teaching your dog to feel safe, confident, and understood — without judgement, pressure, or quick fixes.

FAQs

Any questions about the process? Click below to find out more.
  • I see most dog behavioural issues such as; reactivity or excitment in general, tension between dogs in the home, anxiety problems, chasing joggers, cars and bicycles, resource guarding and various training issues; for instance digging, chewing and excessive barking amongst others.

  • I realise that there are so many pet behaviour experts out there and choosing between them is hard. However I want to assure you that you are in safe hands when you choose me to help and support you in your journey in getting your pet's behaviour back on track. I have several years of experience both in handling animals as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and also in a Pet Behaviour Counselling role. I have done extensive study and have gained a Masters in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling. As a result of this academic achievement, I have been accepted to be a provisional member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC)* and they are supporting me in seeing consults whilst gaining enough experience to apply to be a Clinical Animal Behaviourist. I ensure that I stay up to date with all the relevant information and knowledge on animal behaviour by attending as much CPD as possible. I am also governed by the APBC who stipulate that I need to do at least 30 hours per year.

  • Some behavioural issues are caused by medical problems. For instance, if I have a headache, my husband knows to stay well clear - I am grumpy! Behaviour can be affected by medical issues such as pain so it is vitally important to check that all is well with your pets health before they come to see me. Also due to being a provisional member of the APBC*,I am bound by those regulations stipulating that all cases must be seen on vet referral.

  • I will reply within 24 business hours and we will organise a FREE get to know each other call to understand how we will work together, what is involved, how much time you can devote to it, and for you to ask any relevant questions related to the process.

  • I will then organise a video or in person consultation lasting around 2 hours to further understand and discuss the behavioural problem in more detail. It will also allow for us to discuss how you will implement the plan and how I will support you going forwards. A report will be written up of what we have discussed and sent to you that day. A report will also be sent to your vet with everything that was talked about.

Follow ups (see services) can be organised thereafter to ensure we are progressing as desired with the plan and talk about any problems that occur which can then be addressed along the way.

  • It is up to you how much effort and time you are prepared to input as to how much success you will see. It takes time though and we can only work at the pet’s pace taking it step by step. Sometimes there can be setbacks, however I will ensure you have all the necessary tools put in place to deal with those issues. We can always organise further follow ups (click here for services) to discuss those problems. How much work you are willing to put in will govern what results you see.

  • I will write up the report within a day of the consultation to ensure you can get going with the plan as soon as possible. It will give simple, straightforward guidance on how to proceed with the plan.

Going forwards, I will ensure you are well supported with regular check-ins and you are welcome to email, whats app and call me with any questions you may have however small, large or silly they may be.

  • I will use only kind, positively rewarded, ethical, evidence based methods to assist with the behavioural issues seen.

  • With all behavioural problems there is no cure as such however I will endeavor to give you all my advice, wisdom and experience and fully support you to successfully manage the presenting behavioural issue.

I work with you in three easy, simple steps:

  • Understanding You and Your Dog

We'll start with a short questionnaire and a discovery call to talk through your dog's behaviour, your routine, and your goals. I'll also contact your vet for a referral if needed.

  •  Ongoing Tailored Support

Depending on your plan, you'll get daily training missions, weekly check-ins, and ongoing support via WhatsApp or email - with me beside you every step of the way.
