When your new puppy feels overwhelmed, it can feel like you’re getting it all wrong.
The biting, the accidents, the sleepless nights — you’re doing your best, yet it can still feel chaotic. You just want your puppy to grow into a calm, happy dog who fits easily into family life.
You’re not alone. Every new puppy parent feels this way at some point. The good news? With the right guidance and gentle support, those early weeks can become the foundation for a lifetime of confidence and trust.
The calm, science-based way to raise your puppy
At Puppy School Oxford City, I use only kind, evidence-based training that focuses on your puppy’s emotional wellbeing as well as their learning.
Together, we help your puppy:
- Learn key life skills — settling, recall, focus and good manners.
- Build confidence around people, dogs and new environments.
- Develop emotional resilience to prevent future behaviour problems such as separation anxiety, fear or reactivity.
- Strengthen your bond through fun, reward-based activities that make learning joyful for both of you.
All classes are taught in a calm, supportive setting with small group sizes so you and your puppy can relax and learn at your own pace.
