Puppy School Classes in Oxford City

Welcoming a new puppy into your home is exciting — but those early weeks can be full of questions.

At Puppy School Oxford City, I help you and your puppy start off right with calm, kind training that builds confidence, manners, and trust from day one.

Classes are run under the nationally recognised Puppy School programme and delivered by a qualified behaviour professional.

Raising a Calm, Confident Puppy — Without Overwhelm

Raising a puppy can feel overwhelming, especially with so much conflicting advice about socialisation, what it is, when to do it, and how to do it successfully as well as how to cope with biting and mouthing.

In the video below, I talk through all of this and more, including how to play with your puppy in a helpful way and how to build a simple daily routine that supports calm, confident behaviour.

What I cover in this video

  • How puppies learn confidence during their early development

  • What socialisation really means (and common mistakes to avoid)

  • Why over-tired puppies often become bitey or over-excited

  • The role of play, enrichment and rest in reducing problem behaviours

  • How a simple, predictable routine supports calm behaviour

What Makes our Puppy School Different

Our small, supportive classes focus on emotional wellbeing as much as training.

Your puppy will learn:

  • To listen and settle even with distractions

  • To greet politely and play calmly with other pups

  • To build confidence around new people and places

  • To enjoy gentle, reward-based learning that sets them up for life

Classes are run under the nationally recognised Puppy School programme and delivered by a qualified behaviour professional.

Who Teaches Your Puppy?

I’m Clare Bradley BSc (Hons) RVN MSc CAB, a registered Veterinary Nurse and Dog Behaviourist.

I bring both behavioural science and hands-on experience to help every puppy — even the shy, bouncy or anxious ones — find their calm and confidence.

My approach is kind, evidence-based, and tailored to each puppy as an individual. I focus on building confidence, understanding behaviour, and supporting you as an owner — not just teaching cues, but helping you and your puppy build a strong foundation together.
